Baguio bus accident injures 12

AT LEAST 12 people were hurt in a road accident involving a bus passenger in Baguio City on Thursday afternoon, the state disaster agency said.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that the Amianan bus driven by Joselito Zuniega crashed on Marcos Highway's Kilometer 4.
Twelve of the 19 passengers on board were injured including Rosita Acangan; Mary Ann Molina; Jenny Chapyosen, 12; John Eric Pascua, 12; Mark Anthony Fang, 16; Jushua Mallari, 17; Ma. Demoiselle Orpiano, 18; Jomar Mendoza, 21; Analisa Lacambra, 31; Milca Orpiano, 41; Carolina Dapnisan, 43; and Rosita Labutan, 50.
The injured passengers, who were mostly residents of Pangasinan, Benget, and Baguio City, were given medical attention at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
Thursday's Baguio road mishap is the third vehicular accident that the NDRRMC has reported in three weeks. On October 2, a collision between a passenger jeep and a 14-wheeler truck in San Isidro, Ilocos Norte killed 10 people and injured four others.
On September 26, a vehicular accident in Nueva Ecija involving a motorcycle, a passenger bus, and a gasoline tanker killed nine people and injured 14 others. (Emmanuel Louis Bacani/Sunnex)
