BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte -- Four persons were killed and two others were injured when a south-bound car they were riding went out of control and crashed into a waiting shed along the national highway in Barangay Tabug Thursday night, the country's risk reduction council said.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported at 10:45 p.m. of Thursday the red Toyota Corolla driven by Fred Oasay, 39, along with five passengers of legal age and residents of Barangay 14, Tartarabang, Pinili, Ilocos Norte, was traversing towards south when Oasay lost control upon reaching a curve and rammed into the waiting shed before finally hitting the mango tress at the leftshoulder of the road.
It was learned that all passengers, who came from a drinking spree, were not wearing seatbelts.
