MANILA -- Expect light to moderate rains on Saturday in some areas of Luzon including Metro Manila due to the northeast monsoon, the State weather bureau said.
In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Quezon Province and the Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The weather agency added that moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
Pagasa also issued gale warning as strong to gale force wind is expected to affect the Seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon.
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves. (PNA)
