MANILA -- United States Ambassador Harry Thomas Jr. on Thursday thanked the Philippine government for donating $250,000 for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which swept the US East Coast in a frenzy.
"Thank you, Government of the Philippines who will donate $250,000 to the American Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. True partners and friends," the envoy said.
Sandy, the worst storm that hit the US in recent years, left 60 people dead and billions in property damage. (CVB/Sunnex)
