4.6-magnitude quake hits Tagbilaran, Bohol

CEBU CITY -- A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shakes Tagbilaran City, Bohol Wednesday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its website, Phivolcs said the quake's epicenter was 54 kilometers (km) east of Tagbilaran City at a depth of 85 km.

Intensity 3 was felt in Tagbilaran City while intensity 2 was felt in Sibulan, Dauin; Negros Oriental; Dumaguete City; Cebu City; and Siquijor, Siquijor.

Intensity 1 was felt in Dipolog City.

Philippine seismologists added the quake was tectonic in origin.

Phivolcs said that there were no casualties or damage reported. (Sunnex)
