Technical person to be hired for Sugbo TV inventory

CEBU Provincial Board Member Miguel Magpale said Thursday that they will hire a technical person to help in the inventory of Sugbo TV, a project of Governor Gwen Garcia.
Garcia has been suspended for six months by the Office of the President for grave abuse of authority. She is still staying at the Capitol, however, more than a week after the suspension order was issued in December 19, 2012.
In an interview on Thursday, Board Member Magpale, son of Acting Governor Agnes Magpale, said it took them a while to identify the facilities of Sugbo TV, a cable news channel, hampering the inventory.
Sugbo TV, which was run by the Cebu Provincial Government, was temporary closed by Acting Governor Magpale, Police Regional Office-Central Visayas Director Marcelo Garbo Jr., Regional Public Safety Battalion-Central Visayas Chief Leopoldo Cabanag and lawyer Czareem Joseph Estella.
Board Member Magpale said the inventory might push through next week, adding they will find their own technical person.
The acting governor, meanwhile, clarified Thursday that Sugbo TV was only "temporary closed," adding she even suggested for an improvement of the cable news channel.
She also confirmed Thursday the filing of charges against her by the staff of Sugbo TV, saying "I get sued, but I am doing what is legal and good...I have the power to supervise and control."
"I am not even running for governor, I am just here because I have to be sworn in," she added. (Sunnex)
