Quakes hit Zambales

CEBU CITY -- Two earthquakes hit recently the province of Zambales particularly in San Antonio, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said that San Antonio, Zambales was hit by a magnitude of 5.2 around 7:03 p.m. of Monday and was followed by a magnitude of 5.0 around 7:16 p.m. of same day.
The magnitude 5.2 was located at 45 kilometers (km) west of San Antonio with a depth of 14 km. It was tectonic in origin, Phivolcs said.
Intensity 2 was felt in Pasay City, Phivolcs added.
The magnitude 5.0 quake was located at 50 kilometers (km) west of San Antonio with a depth of 21 km and was also tectonic in origin.
The Philippine seismologists said that aftershocks are expected.
As of this posting, there were no casualties or damage reported. (Sunnex)
