MANILA -- A tail-end of the cold front and northeast monsoon (hanging amihan) will continue to bring cloudy and rainy weather over the country, the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.
In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga region and Palawan will have cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The Bicol region, Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with occasional light rains, the weather agency said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
The weather bureau also issued a gale warning as gale force winds are expected to affect the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon and of Visayas.
"Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves," PAGASA said. (PNA)
