100 arrested in first week of poll gun ban

MANILA -- A total of 100 people were arrested in the first week of the poll gun ban, which aims to ensure a peaceful election period this year.
In an update, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said the arrested people from January 13 to 20 include four government personnel and one soldier.
The remaining 95 were civilians.
At least 88 firearms were confiscated including 25 high-powered guns.
Some 25 bladed weapons, nine explosives, and one firearm replica were also confiscated.
