Isabela town mayor shot dead

MANILA -- The mayor of Maconacon, Isabela was shot dead Tuesday night in Quezon City, television reports said.
Mayor Erlinda Domingo sustained a gunshot wound in the head. Her bodyguard identified as Bernard Plasos was also wounded in the incident.
Police arrested one of the four suspects in a checkpoint.
Television reports said that Domingo, a reelectionist, was about to board her vehicle when shot by one of the suspects outside Park Villa Apartelle in Quezon City. She was about to leave for Isabela.
Scene of the Crime Operatives are still at the crime scene while police are still investigating the incident as of this posting Tuesday. (Sunnex)
