Aquino to spend birthday, Valentine’s Day with nephew

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III sees himself being loveless on his birthday on February 8 and on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

In an interview in Davos, Switzerland, Aquino said he might celebrate these two special dates together with his nephew – Joshua – eldest son of the President’s sister, actress Kris Aquino.

“Not at this time. So ibig sabihin niyan baka si Joshua,” Aquino answered when asked if he plans to go on a date on Valentine’s Day.

Aquino, who is turning 53, said if he does not have a date on his birthday, most probably, he would also be loveless on Valentine’s Day.

Nevertheless, he quipped that Joshua has always been there for him whenever he is alone.

“Hindi ko na nga iniimbita, dumarating. Kaya kapag na-sense niyang wala akong kasama ng February 8 at February 14, sasabihin nun, ‘Tito Noy, can I pass by?’” he related.

Asked about his wish for his birthday, Aquino said he hoped that no crisis or problem will happen on his birthday.

“Siguro baka 'yung araw na ‘yon may katahimikan ako at least for dinner ng mga pamangkin at pamilya ko. Baka puwede nakangiti kami for the duration of the dinner. Ibig sabihin noon sana walang krisis na biglang umusbong,” he said.
