Admin bets hope Aquino will find true love

MANILA -- Senatorial candidates under the administration-backed Team PNoy hope that President Benigno Aquino III would find time for romance despite his busy schedule for him to be able to find his "true love."

On the eve of the Valentine's Day on Wednesday, Team PNoy bets said the "rosy" economy under the Aquino administration must be reflected in the President's "rosier love life as well".

"Sana makahanap din siya ng tunay, dalisay, at walang hanggang pag-ibig at ng isang babae na iibigin din siya ng wagas (I hope that he will be able to find a true, pure, and everlasting love and a woman who will love him forever)," reelectionist Senator Francis Escudero, a close friend of the President, said.

Escudero is romantically linked with actress Heart Evangelista.

Former Senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr., a member of the ruling Liberal Party, said he hopes the President "will finally have a lifetime partner soon."

"PNoy (Aquino) deserves to be happy and he must have a love partner soonest. At sana, makakambal kaagad (I hope he will have twins right away)," Magsaysay said.

Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino IV, who tied the knot with Timi Gomez in 2012, hopes Aquino would meet someone to take care of him as he is caring for the nation. Bam is a cousin of the President.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano said the President must find his "Lani," referring to his wife and current mayor of Taguig City.

"Good things come to those who wait. I hope even if it's not sooner but later, PNoy will get lucky like me and find his Lani, the ideal wife – someone who is not only beautiful inside and out, someone who loves this country as much as we cherish our own relationship," Cayetano said.

For his part, Vice President Jejomar Binay respected the President's decision not to engage in a romantic date on Valentine's Day..
