MANILA -- Senator Manny Villar is planning on devoting more time to the Villar Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife 20 years ago.
"He would go back to his private life. He will manage the Villar Foundation," former Las Piñas City representative Cynthia Villar, who is aiming to replace her husband in the Senate, said in an ambush interview.
The senator's term will end on June 30, 2013.
The former congresswoman said the senator will represent her during the campaign sorties of Team PNoy if her schedule would not allow her.
"I can't join all the sorties because I already had appointments which were set even before the schedule on campaign sorties have been finalized. I think I will join the Team PNoy sorties half of the time. If I am not around, I will be represented by my husband, Senator Villar and my son Mark Villar," she said.
During the kick-off rally of Team PNoy in Plaza Miranda in Manila Tuesday, Villar vowed to push for livelihood projects in every town and city across the country.
"My selling point in the campaign is hanep ang buhay kapag may hanapbuhay," she said. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
