Team PNoy to hold rallies next week in Cebu

CEBU CITY -- Team PNoy, accompanied by President Benigno Aquino III, will hold a rally in February 19 at Lawaan 3, Talisay City, in southern Cebu and at the Tayud Sports Complex, Liloan town in northern Cebu in February 20.

However, Liberal Party (LP) candidates in Cebu will play a low profile during the campaign sorties of senatorial candidates under Team PNoy as they will only introduce the senatorial candidates, according to Lawyer Hilario “Junjun” Davide III.

Junjun, LP’s gubernatorial candidate for Cebu, said if there are local officials who will talk on stage, they will only introduce the senatorial candidates or the president.

”This is for the aspiring senators,” he said.

Davide is running against Representative Pablo John Garcia (3rd district, Cebu) of One Cebu, an ally of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), which held the proclamation rally for its senatorial candidates last Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Plaza Independencia in Cebu City.

Team PNoy, a coalition of political parties led by the ruling Liberal Party, scheduled sorties in the provinces of Cebu and Negros, and Dumaguete City next week, according to senatorial candidate Juan Edgardo Angara. (PNA/Sunnex/With reports)
