MANILA -- The state weather bureau on Friday afternoon issued a Yellow Rainfall Advisory 3 for the areas of Rizal, Quezon, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales and some areas of Metro Manila (Quezon City, CAMANAVA, Manila, Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong and Makati), and will most likely to continue for the next 3 hours.
This means that moderate to heavy rainfall was observed in these areas.
Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned residents for possible flooding in low-lying areas and those located near the river channels.
It also advised the residents in affected areas to "closely monitor the weather condition."
Pagasa also said Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac have been experiencing occasional light to moderate rains.
It advised local disaster risk reduction and management councils to "take necessary precautionary measures."
At least 15 flights were also cancelled due to the incessant rains. According to the Department of Transportation and Communication, among the cancelled flights are from carriers Zest Air and Cebu Pacific.
Most of these flights are from Manila, Caticlan, Busuanga, and Cagayan de Oro. (PNA/Sunnex)
