Crising leaves P11.2M in damages

MANILA -- Tropical Depression "Crising" has left at least P11.24 million damage in agriculture in Mindanao after dumping rains that flooded several areas, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
In its 6 a.m. update, the NDRRMC's assessment only includes Asuncion town, Davao del Norte, which incurred damages worth P10 million in rice, P444,500 in corn and P710,000 in vegetables.
As of Saturday morning, Crising has so far affected 51,458 families or 261,570 people in 189 villages in eight regions in the country, according to the NDRRMC.
Currently staying in 47 evacuation centers are 7,460 families or 33,849 people.
The death toll from Crising is still at four while two remain missing.
Crising also damaged 87 houses and affected two roads, one footbridge, and six bridges, the NDRRMC said. (Emmanuel Louis Bacani/Sunnex)
