DOH encourages use of condoms anew

THE Department of Health (DOH) asked sexually-active men on Sunday to carry a condom in their pockets amid the growing number of cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
His call was in line with the department's program against the increasing rate of HIV transmission, the ABC program, which stands for Abstinence, Be faithful, Condom use.
Last Friday, the DOH reported 380 new HIV cases in January, which is the highest inside a month since recording started in 1984.
Tayag said condoms are available in retail stores and health centers, where they are even offered for free. (HDT/Sunnex)
