4 killed in massacre in Masbate town

MANILA -- A lone suspect killed a couple and their two young children in Pio V. Cruz town in Masbate on Friday, police said.
Provincial police director Heriberto Olitoquit said the victims were identified as Jimmy Dublin, 35, his wife Elena, 33, and their children Jason, 13, and Gerald, 9.
Investigators said the bodies of three victims were found inside their house while Elena was found few meters away from their home. The victims sustained multiple hack injuries, police said.
The two other family members, Jenelyn and John Dublin, who survived the attack, are now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Olitoquit said.
A manhunt operation was ongoing as of this posting Friday. (VR/Sunnex)
