MANILA -- Anti-narcotics agents have arrested the grandson and namesake of late comedy king, Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon, during a drug raid in Laguna, an official said Wednesday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the arrested suspect as Rodolfo Quizon III, 29, a businessman and resident of Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
Operatives of PDEA Regional Office 4-A served the search warrant against Quizon inside his residence in Barangay Palasan last Tuesday.
During the search, eight grams of marijuana and 16 tablets of valium, a regulated drug, and various drug paraphernalia were allegedly recovered inside the house.
Jayar Salac, 28, who was present inside the house during the operation, was also arrested.
Quizon and Salac are now facing charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Cacdac said. (SDR/Sunnex)
