Breeze goes to Cebu-A A +A
Sunday, August 18, 2013
BREEZE held Sunday its second run of the Sigeland with over 1,500 give-away toys at Ayala Activity Center Cebu.
The Sigeland is the first toy store in the Philippines that does not accept cash. Mothers are instead asked to make a promise, through Facebook, to teach their children a value that comes with playing.
Each toy has a corresponding price like the painting set tagged with "teach your child creativity." Other values include courage, confidence and sportsmanship.
The no-cash store operates on the belief that if stains from playing lead to learning, then "Sige sa Mantsa," said Breeze brand manager Mara Banzon.
The Sige sa Mantsa campaign aims to help mothers realize that getting a few stains in their children's clothing, while playing, is part of learning and expressing creativity.
Banson said children can learn through hands-on activities that translate abstract ideas into concrete form.
TV actress and model Dawn Zulueta also graced the event and chose 10 winners to take photos with her.
Participants took home bikes, basketball hoops, inflatable pools, art sets and scooters, among others.
The brand decided to hold a second Sigeland event in Cebu after the success of its first launch at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, Manila last June 22. (Nera Mariz Puyo/Sunnex)
