San Miguel Corp. disaster relief drive in full swing-A A +A

SAN Miguel Corporation continues to assist in disaster response efforts for victims of Tropical Storm "Maring" and the southwest monsoon (habagat).
As of Wednesday morning, San Miguel, through its San Miguel Foundation, donated 3,000 cases of bottled water, over 1,500 boxes of canned goods and boxes of coffee in Paranaque, Laguna and Cavite provinces. The donation benefitted close to 30,000 families.
In Rosario, Cavite, meanwhile, Petron Foundation donated goods for around 2,000 beneficiaries.
The company earlier said it is mobilizing resources and personnel to help in relief efforts. It has since activated its disaster response teams composed of employee volunteers across the San Miguel Group.
It is also utilizing its own fleet of flood rescue vehicles, including amphibious vehicles and speedboats, to help in rescue and relief efforts. (PR)
