Aquino chooses new PSG chief-A A +A

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III said Thursday that he has already in mind his new chief security but he has to inform first Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin.
Presidential Security Group (PSG) chief Brigadier General Ramon Mateo Dizon is set to retire on August 31 when he reaches 56, the mandatory age of retirement.
"I think I haven't yet told SND (Secretary of National Defense) my choice. I will formalize it, but there is," the President said when asked if he has already his new PSG chief.
Dizon, a member of the Philippine Military Academy "Matikas" Class of 1983 was designated as PSG chief when Aquino assumed his post as president in 2010. He was promoted to Brigadier General in April last year. (SDR/Sunnex)
