Pagasa: Possible Low pressure area may enter Wednesday-A A +A
Tuesday, September 3, 2013
A WEATHER system that could develop into a low-pressure area (LPA) may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday, state weather forecasters said.
In the meantime, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said, the country may expect fair and warm weather this week.
In a radio interview, Pagasa forecaster Samuel Duran said their models showed the LPA could bring rain to Northern Luzon.
For now, however, he said the ridge of a high-pressure area may bring fair and warm weather to the country, including Metro Manila. There may still be isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Pagasa also said it expects up to four cyclones to enter PAR this month. (JK/Sunnex)
