Construction worker stabbed, in critical condition-A A +A

A CONSTRUCTION worker remains in critical condition after he was stabbed by his neighbor Sunday evening at Ranudo St., Barangay Cogon-Ramos, Cebu City.
Police identified the victim as Wilfredo Basagno Lago, 29, single, a native of Talisay City, Cebu but temporarily residing at Ranudo St., Barangay Cogon-Ramos.
The suspect was identified as alias “Bambi,” single, of legal age, and a resident of the same place.
Police investigation showed that Lago was walking along Ranudo St. around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when Bambi, armed with a sharp pointed instrument, attacked him from behind.
Lago sustained one stab wound on his left hand and one on the right side of his tummy. He evaded more attacks as he ran and asked for assistance from a security guard.
Lago was confined at the Cebu City Medical Center, where he remained under critical condition as of Monday morning.
Manhunt operation against the suspect is ongoing, said police.
