Sunday, September 15, 2013
In its 5 a.m. weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the Southwest Monsoon is the prevailing weather system across Southern Luzon and Visayas, bringing heavy rain to most parts of the country.
"Metro Manila, Calabarzon and the provinces of Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Bataan and Bulacan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides," said Pagasa.
Meanwhile, Visayas and the rest of Luzon should expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.

The skies of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, Pagasa also said.
"Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough," the state weather bureau said.
It added, "Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest will prevail over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas." (SFP/Sunnex)
