THE final test for aspiring new teachers is set this Sunday, September 29, as close to 130,000 examinees will be taking the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in 17 areas spread across the country.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), everything is already set for the licensure tests this Sunday for 128,083 examinees.
The testing centers include Baguio, Batanes, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag City, Legazpi, Lucena, Masbate, National Capital Region, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Rosales Pangasinan, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.
"The bulk of LET takers comes from the National Capital Region with an estimated 29,151 examinees followed by Davao with 12,815 examinees," said the PRC.
The PRC advises the examinees to be at the designated examination site/center before 7 a.m. and to bring their notices of admission, two or more pencils, ballpens with black ink, one piece metered-stamp window envelope, one piece long brown envelope, and one piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope on Examination Day.
Earlier, the PRC had already announced the postponement of the examinations in Zamboanga City to January 26, 2014.
"The postponement of the BLEPT was made on account of the limited access to air and sea transportations brought about by the ongoing armed hostilities in the abovementioned areas as well as considerations on the safety and security of the examinees and examinations personnel," said the PRC.
Aside from Zamboanga City, the PRC said also being postponed are those scheduled in Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu. (HDT/Sunnex)
