LPA now Tropical Depression ‘Paolo’-A A +A

MANILA -- Residents in Central Luzon who have just recovered from Typhoon Odette that battered its region less than a week ago is now threatened again with the new tropical depression named "Paolo," the 16th cyclone to enter the country this year.
As of 4 p.m. Thursday, the center of the tropical depression was located at 230 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa said Paolo, carrying maximum winds of 45 kilometers per hour, will not yet affect any part of the country. However, it will enhance the southwest monsoon that will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro and Northern Palawan.
It is expected to be at 400 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales by Friday afternoon and out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday afternoon. (Sunnex)
