A 32-YEAR-OLD man was shot while one male student was injured Wednesday evening at Sitio Lomboy, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.
The 32-year-old man was identified by the police as Dennis Molina, single and a resident of Sitio Mansanitas, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City, while the 17-year-old is a student of Inayawan Night High school and a resident Upper Torre, Barangay Inayawan.
Police said that Molina was walking on his way home at Sitio Lomboy around 9 p.m. when four men blocked him.
Molina identified one of the four men as Jimuel Mandaue, alias Aying, a resident of Sitio Panang, Barangay Inayawan.
Aying then pulled out a hand gun and shot Molina twice. The victim though still managed to run away, although wounded on his head and right arm.
Nearby, a 17-year-old student who was walking together with a friend was hit by the bullet and sustained one gunshot wound on his right lower leg.
Molina managed to go home, and was rushed by his family to Cebu City Medical Center for treatment, while the student was rushed by his companion to same hospital. Both went home after their wounds were treated.
Police said personal grudge could be the motive behind the incident, after Molina revealed that he had a fist-fight with Aying three months ago.
Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against Aying and his three male companions. (Jerson B. Rufin and Akimie R. Losorata, PIT interns/Sunnex)
