'Paolo' now outside PAR; another LPA spotted-A A +A

MANILA – Tropical Depression "Paolo" has intensified into a Tropical Storm and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but another low pressure area (LPA) was spotted over east of Northern Mindanao, the weather bureau said Friday.
As of 4:00 p.m., the center of the tropical storm was located at 425 kilometers (km) northwest of Iba, Zambales. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near its center and gustiness of up to 80kph.
Paolo will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon that will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.
Meanwhile, the new LPA was spotted at 925 km east of Northern Mindanao,
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region and the provinces of Benguet, Zambales, Bataan and Mindoro will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon. Coastal waters in this area will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas. (Sunnex)
