Flights, port operation cancelled due to Typhoon Santi-A A +A

MANILA -- Several local flights scheduled Thursday have been cancelled due to bad weather, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said.
In its official Twitter account, @DOTCPhilippines, the agency said Cebu Pacific flights from Manila to Naga, and from Naga to Manila as well as PAL Express flights from Manila to Tuguegarao, and from Tuguegarao to Manila are cancelled.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that several port operation were also suspended due to the cyclone. Operations were suspended in Balanacan and Cawit Ports Lucena City in Quezon.
In Albay, around 460 passengers were stranded in the port, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.
The NDRRMC said that they are currently in "blue alert" due to the typhoon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Typhoon Santi (international name: Nari) gained intensity as it headed towards the areas of Aurora and Isabela.(Sunnex)
