MANILA -- Businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles was brought out of her detention facility and rushed to a hospital in Laguna before dawn Thursday for nausea and vomiting, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
In a radio interview, PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac said Napoles was brought to the Sta. Rosa Hospital at 1:20 a.m. but returned to her detention facility at 3:30 a.m.
He said they were cleared to bring her to the Sta. Rosa Hospital, where doctors initially attributed her condition to stones in the ureter.
Napoles has been detained at Fort Sto. Domingo since September, based on a Makati court's arrest order for serious illegal detention.
She is expected to face a Senate investigation into the pork barrel scam on November 7.
Napoles and several lawmakers had been charged with plunder over the pork barrel scam. (JK/Sunnex)
