MANILA -- Generally fair weather may be expected in most parts of the country on Monday, when Filipinos elect their barangay officials, state weather agency said Friday afternoon.
In a special outlook for October 28, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) officer-in-charge Vicente Malano said there may be "scattered light to moderate" rain in Palawan and Mindanao.
Malano said Palawan and Mindanao will experience "cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate rain and thunderstorms."
But the rest of the country will have "generally fair weather aside from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon," he said.
Also, he said "moderate to occasionally strong" northeasterly winds will prevail over the northern and eastern section of Luzon with moderate to occasionally rough seas.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate northeasterly winds with slight to moderate seas, while Mindanao will have "light northeasterly to variable winds with slight seas except during the occurrence of thunderstorms." (JK/Sunnex)
