Friday, October 25, 2013
MANILA --Monsoon rain may fall over parts of Luzon and Mindanao Friday, state weather bureau said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan) continues to affect Northern Luzon.
Pagasa said Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley may expect "partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain."
It also said Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be "partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms."
Also, Pagasa said strong to gale-force winds associated with Amihan enhanced by Typhoon Francisco (Urduja) may affect the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon.
It advised fishing boats and other small seacraft not to venture out into the sea, and larger sea vessels to be alert against big waves. (JK/Sunnex)
