Common voting problems seen in Quezon City village-A A +A
Monday, October 28, 2013
USUAL voting problems have been observed by volunteers of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) in a Quezon City village during Monday's barangay elections.
These include lack of special lanes for the elderly and persons with disability (PWD) and lost names, said Lowell Hernia, PPCRV logistics officer for Krus na Ligas in Diliman, Quezon City.
However, chairs were set up outside the polling precincts for voters waiting for their turn to cast their ballot.
"Tutulungan sila maghanap ng name at kung di nila kaya umakyat, ina-assist namin sila. We are also encouraging 'yung mga kamag-anak na tulungan sila," said Hernia when asked about PPCRV's assistance to aging and PWD voters.
PPCRV deployed 106 volunteers in the village, which has around 10,000 registered voters. (Sunnex)
