Gunmen attack Pagadian bet's residence-A A +A

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Motorcycle-riding gunmen attacked the residence of a candidate for barangay kagawad (village councilman) in Pagadian City around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Zamboanga Peninsula police information officer Chief Inspector Ariel said the incident took place in the village of Tiguma, Pagadian City but no one was killed or wounded in the attack.
The vehicle of Joel Almasan, the candidate, was however hit by bullets.
Investigation showed that Almasan and his family were in asleep when two gunmen riding tandem on a motorcycle arrived and opened fire.
Huesca said investigation continues to unmask the suspects, who fled to an unknown direction after the incident.
Two empty shells and a deformed slug of caliber .45 pistol were recovered at the crime scene, the police said. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
