DPWH to utilize long weekend for road repairs-A A +A

DUE to the long weekend brought by the All Saints' and All Souls' Days festivities, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will take advantage of the occasion to conduct road repairs in various parts of Metro Manila.
In an advisory released Thursday, the DPWH said the government agency will do a five-day road improvement and maintenance works in some parts of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (Edsa), Araneta Avenue and C.P. Garcia Avenue.
The latest traffic advisory advised the motorists and commuters to expect traffic congestion in some parts of Metro Manila starting at 10 p.m. Thursday (October 31) until 4 .am. Tuesday (November 5).
These include parts of Edsa, in Pasay City, from C. Jose St. to P. Santol St. (northbound); portion of Edsa in Quezon City, from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon, 1st lane from sidewalk (northbound); portion of Edsa, Quezon City, from Santolan Flyover to Annapolis, 2nd lane from MRT line (southbound); Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, from Palanza St. to Bayani, 1st lane (northbound); C.P. Garcia Ave., Quezon City, between Magiting St. and University Avenue, 1st lane from sidewalk going to University Ave.; portion of Edsa in Mandaluyong City, fromn Reliance St. to Libertad St. (northbound); portion of Edsa in Mandaluyong City, Boni Avenue to Mayon St. (southbound); portion Edsa in Makati City, from Mckinley Forbes to Guadalupe Bridge, 1st lane (northbound); portion of Edsa in Makati City, from Guadalupe Bridge to South Drive, 1st lane (southbound); and portion of Edsa in Caloocan City, between G. de Jesus St. and Evangelista St., 4th lane (northbound).
The DPWH advised motorists to use alternate routes until all roads are fully repaired and passable by Tuesday morning. (Sunnex)
