Tuesday, November 5, 2013
OIL firms on Tuesday raised prices of kerosene and diesel products, except in quake-hit Bohol and Cebu provinces in Central Visayas.
PTT Philippines and Shell announced Monday night they will raise prices effective 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Shell said it would raise prices of diesel by 35 centavos per liter and kerosene by 20 centavos per liter.
Petron said it would similarly increase the prices of its diesel and kerosene products, according to price watchdog Petrol Price Watch.
Radio reports added PTT Philippines will raise diesel prices by 35 centavos per liter.
However, Petrol Price Watch said Petron and Shell's price hike will not apply to Cebu and Bohol, which are under a state of calamity following the magnitude-7.2 last October 15. (JK/Sunnex)
