Venezuela wins Miss Earth 2013 title-A A +A

MANILA -- Venezuelan beauty Alyz Henrich bested more than 80 candidates for the Miss Earth 2013 crown.
Held Saturday evening at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, the annual pageant celebrates beauty and promotes the restoration, protection and conservation of the environment.
The 22-year-old Henrich bagged the coveted title followed by Miss Austria Kati Wagner (Miss Earth-Air), Miss Thailand Punika Kulsoontornut (Miss Earth-Water) and Miss Korea Catharina Choi (Miss Earth-Fire).
Miss Philippines Angelee delos Reyes made it in the Final 8 with Miss Mexico Kristal Silva, Miss Poland Aleksandra Szczesna, and Miss Serbia Andjelka Tomasevic.
All the 88 contestants were serenaded by American singer/composer David Pomeranz, who recently mounted a benefit concert for the typhoon victims in Central Visayas.
Miss Earth 2013 was hosted by couple Linda Black and Oli Pettigrew. (Sunnex)
