MANILA -- Mindanao will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain due to the trough of low pressure area (LPA), state weather agency said.
On Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the rain over Mindanao may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
"Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms," Pagasa said.
The state weather agency also said, "The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will be cloudy with light rain."
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, it said.
Pagasa also said that moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough while elsewhere in the Philippines, winds will be light to moderate coming from the East to Northeast with slight to moderate seas. (SFP/Sunnex)
