CEBU CITY -- A 22-year-old female died while two others were hurt in a vehicular mishap on a bridge in South Road Properties (SRP) around 1:10 a.m. Thursday.
Initial investigation showed that an Isuzu L en route to Talisay City suddenly changed lane and collided with a Suzuki multicab, which was on its way to Cebu City hall.
Senior Police Officer Anthony Deligero of the City Traffic Operations and Management identified the fatality as Menche Fuentes, 22, driver of the multicab.
Fuentes was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival. Her friend, Maria Ybañez, 22, is now in stable condition after sustaining injuries.
Deligero said an unidentified man was also found lying under a tire of the Isuzu L. He said authorities did not find any identification and could not conclude if the man was the driver.
The man, who was confined at the Vicente Sotto Hospital, is still unconscious.
Further investigation is underway to identify the driver and the cause of the collision. (NMP/Sunnex)
