MANILA -- A bus firm involved in a deadly accident in Sorsogon last Sunday may be slapped with a 30-day suspension from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Radio reports quoted LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez as saying the suspension may cover 10 units of Fortune Star Bus Line Inc.
Ginez also ordered the LTFRB's Bicol regional office to investigate Sunday's predawn accident that left six people dead.
The accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Maharlika Highway in Sitio Hoyon-Hoyon in Barangay Bacolod in Juban, Sorsogon.
Killed were six people, including the drivers of both vehicles.
Investigation showed the bus was bound for Samar while the Suzuki was bound for Tonga in Leyte. (JK/Sunnex)
