MANILA -- As the Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan) continues to affect Luzon, a trough of a low pressure area (LPA) hover over Mindanao, the state weather agency said on Tuesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. bulletin that people in Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate rain and thunderstorms.
People in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon should still bring rain gears as Pagasa said that skies over these areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rain.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said, "Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough."
"Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas," it added.
Pagasa also issued a gale warning over the seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
It said that strong to gale force winds are expected to affect the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas, particularly, Camarines provinces, Catanduanes, eastern coast of Albay, eastern coast of Sorsogon and of Quezon including Polillo Island, Samar and Leyte. (SFP/Sunnex)
