PRC releases Pharma Licensure Exam results-A A +A

MANILA -- Almost a thousand pharmacy graduates passed the January 2014 Pharmacist Licensure Examination (PLE) according to the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) report on Friday.
Out of 1,759 examinees, 937 passed the PLE given at the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo earlier this year.
Repeaters who took the exam were around 593 while the first timers were at 1,166 thousand.
Repeaters who passed the exam were only 227 while the rest of the passers were first-time takers.
Athena Jessica Saw Ong from the University of the Philippines-Manila made it to the top with an average score of 91.57.
The top performing school with 50 or more exam takers was the Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela where 90 out of 108 passed.
PLE is given by the PRC twice each year, January and June.
On January 2013, almost 1,200 pharmacy graduate took the exam while 2,349 took the exam on June 2013.
However, the PRC registration for the new pharmacist is set on January 23 and 24.
The PRC said that those who will register will have to bring the accomplished Oath Form, current community tax certificate (cedula), one passport-sized picture with white background and complete name tag, two sets of metered documentary stamps and one short plastic envelop with name and profession. They will also have to pay the initial registration fee of P600 and annual registration fee of P450 for the year 2014-2017.
“Succesful examinees should personally register and sign in in the Roster of Registered Professionals,” The PRC said. (Sunnex)
