MANILA -- The state weather bureau said Thursday that Luzon and Visayas will continue to be directly affected by the Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan).

"Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms," the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

It added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

Pagasa also said, "Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the northeast to north over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough." (SFP/Sunnex)
