3 quakes rock Leyte-A A +A

THREE earthquakes jolted the province of Leyte on Sunday, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The first tremor, which has a magnitude of 4.1, was recorded at 10:41 a.m. at 8 kilometers (km) southwest of Capoocan municipality. It has a depth of 3 km and is tectonic in origin.
Intensity II was felt in Barugo and Tacloban; intensity III in Pastrana and Isabel; and intensity IV in Carigara.
At 11:34 a.m., a 2.4-magnitude quake also hit at 11 km southeast of Jaro. Intensity II was felt anew in the municipality of Pastrana.
The third earthquake rocked the province at 2:12 p.m. with a magnitude of 3.8. Its epicenter was located at 4 km southwest of Tunga.
The tremor has a depth of 2 km and is also tectonic in origin.
Intensity IV was felt in Carigara and Alang-lang, while intensity III was felt again in Pastrana.
Phivolcs said there were no reported damages. (Sunnex)
