MANILA -- To disprove allegations of Ruby Tuason that he received kickbacks from alleged pork barrel scam architect Janet Lim-Napoles, Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Monday instructed the chamber's sergeant-at-arms to produce the video footage of the alleged visits of Tuason at the Senate.

"May I request Mr. Senate President to instruct General (Jose) Balajadia, who is the head of OSAA (Office of Senate sergeant-at-arms) to release the videos of the CCTV wherein Mrs. Tuason was present here in the building of the Senate?" Estrada said referring Jose Balajadia.

"I do not have any idea when the last time she appeared or she went to the office or Senate building. For me, just to clear the coast because I am not guilty. She did not deliver any money to me in my residence, most specifically here in the Senate. Lalong lalo na po yung sinasabi niya sa basement parking," Estrada added.

Narrating the affidavit of Tuason, a long-time friend of the Estradas, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima earlier said that Tuason would sometimes personally deliver to the senator his kickbacks from the diversion of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to bogus non-government organizations.

Tuason said she worked for Napoles as bagman for Estrada and Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile. Estrada and Enrile, along with Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., have been charged with plunder in relation to the PDAF scam.

Senate President Franklin Drilon granted the request of Estrada but appealed for time before the OSAA could release the footages.

"We have no problems with the request at the Sergeant-at-arms is directed. We should just give him a little time because it is not easy because the senator cannot give us an approximate dates but we will do so," Drilon said.

Estrada then requested Senator Teofisto Guingona III, chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee, to ask Tuason when she supposedly delivered money at the basement parking.

Tuason was invited by Guingona's panel at the Thursday hearing of the committee in relation to the PDAF scam.

"We take cognizance of the manifestation of Senator Estrada. We will ask that on Thursday," Guingona said. (Sunnex)
