De Lima: Ranillo may cooperate in ‘pork’ probe-A A +A

MANILA -- Actor Mat Ranillo III has expressed willingness to cooperate in the investigation into his alleged participation in the pork barrel scam, a Cabinet official said Friday.
"I heard that Mr. Mat Ranillo has sent feelers, so we would welcome that. Let's see what would be the value of his testimony if and when he cooperates,” said Justice Secretary Leila de Lima in a chance interview.
Potential state witness Ruby Tuason claimed Ranillo delivered P11.97-million kickback to Senator Jinggoy Estrada, which was allegedly received by his former staff Pauline Labayen at the residence of Justa Tantoco in the upscale Dasmariñas Village, Makati City.
Tantoco is the former chief-of-staff of former Senator Loi Estrada, the lawmaker's mother. She is also a friend of Tuason, who admitted she was a "go-between" for alleged pork barrel scam architect Janet Napoles and Senators Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile.
Ranillo, meanwhile, allegedly signed vouchers which detailed the amount of commission given to Estrada and his mother for diverting their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to ghost projects of the businesswoman's fake non-government organizations (NGOs).
Napoles, Tuason, Estrada and Enrile are facing plunder charges before the Office of the Ombudsman in relation to the scam. (Sunnex)
