Estrada: Tuason visited other senators, too-A A +A

MANILA -- Potential state witness Ruby Tuason had been visiting other former and incumbent senators to "ask for projects," Senator Jinggoy Estrada said in Tuesday's session.
"I am really surprised why she only mentioned me and Attorney (Jessica) Gigi Reyes in her affidavit when she has a lot of senator friends na pinupuntahan din niya at hinihingan niya ng mga proyekto," Estrada said.
The senator, who was accused of plundering millions of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) allocation, made the allegation after Tuason testified before the Senate Blue Ribbon committee that she personally delivered kickbacks to Estrada.
Tuason said she delivered Estrada's commission twice to his office at the Senate premises in Pasay City. Estrada had denied this, saying Tuason, a longtime friend of his family, only sent food then.
"Why didn't you even bother to ask her? Sino ang mga pinupuntahan niya aside from the office of Senator (Juan Ponce) Enrile and my office? Sino pa ang mga ibang pinupuntahan niya dito sa Senado? Why didn't you even bother to ask her about it?" Estrada said.
Estrada was reacting to Blue Ribbon committee chairman Teofisto Guingona III's privilege speech where he denied pre-judging the outcome of the controversial PDAF scam.
"So the issue is whether she is lying or not. Because I have received information and I can support that that she had been asking our colleagues here – former colleagues and incumbent colleagues here – for project at, inilalako din niya. O bakit hindi niyo itinanong iyan? Bakit kaming dalawa lang ni Senator Enrile ang napapahamak dito sa kanyang testimonya?" Estrada further said.
Aside from Estrada, Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Ramon Revilla Jr. have also been accused of plunder before the Office of the Ombudsman. (Sunnex)
