Panagbenga float parade kicks off

BAGUIO CITY -- Hundreds of people trooped to streets in this city as early as 5 a.m. to witness the Panagbenga Grand Float Parade, which started at 8 a.m. Sunday.

About 22 floats, adorned with flowers in different colors, paraded in the streets of Baguio. You can watch the replay of the event at www.sunstar.com.ph and http://baguio.sunstar.com.ph.


Among the participants in this year's celebration are the following: Gold Dust Creations, Megapines Realty and Development, GMA Networks Inc., Taloy Norte Farmers, Department of Agriculture-Cordillera Administrative Region, International Pharmaceuticals Inc., Philippine Seven Corporation, Taodharma Inc. (AllPhones), Jollibee, Psalmstre, PIDC-TPLEX, MNTC–NLEX, Baguio Ecopark Inc., Beauche International, Smart Communications, International Praise Center, AMA Magsaysay Baguio City, MLhuiller, Le Monet Hotel, City Government of Baguio, Baguio Country Club, and SM City Baguio.

The float parade is one of the highlights of the annual Panagbenga or Flower Festival celebrated in this city every February. (LMY/Sunnex)
