Oil companies set price rollback Tuesday

MANILA -- Motorists can expect lower fuel prices on Tuesday, March 18, as big oil firms have set price rollback on their products.

Petron Corporation and Shell Philippines will cut prices of diesel products by 65 centavos per liter; prices of kerosene to decrease by 70 centavos per liter; and prices of gasoline to go down by 30 centavos per liter.

The price rollback will be effective Tuesday starting 12:01 a.m.

Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed that as of March 4, average price for diesel was at P45.00 per liter, while gasoline was pegged at P53.60 per liter. (PNA)
